PEETA OR GALE? And why!

PEETA!!!!!!!!! He’s just so charming, so sweet, so nice, so good at choosing the exact same words that can make your sigh… Also, he’s PEETA! How can you not love him?!!!!!!!! Also, I think Katniss should choose him because he’s the one who really, truly loves her. There are like THOUSANDS of hints in Hunger Games and MOSTLY in Catching Fire that tell you she feels pretty much the same way. She’s just too blind to realize the truth! She would have known she was in love with him if she hadn’t promised herself she would never fall in love, never marry, never have kids… You all remember how Katniss reacted when she found out Peeta was captured and how she felt the days afterwards, right? She seems really depressed about it. I think that in the third book she’s finally gonna come to her senses and realize she’s in love with him! Sorry for writing so much. It feels good to express strong emotions. It feels like letting go of a lot of breath you’ve been holding in. Anyway, TEAM PEETA!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with ObsessedWithPeeta. However, isn’t Gale a good match too? He actually knows her, unlike Peeta in the first book. Gale understands Katniss. I mean, he knows about the illegal hunting, and apparently cares for her. But then again, Peeta went through the Hunger Games with Katniss, and that means a lot. But what if Gale had gone through with her instead? What would’ve the outcome have been then? Katniss would only remember Peeta as the boy with the bread. They both make good matches, and I like both of them…. TEAM GALE!!!!! at least in the first book, I haven’t read the 2nd yet…..

Also, you made Peeta look WAY better than Gale with that pic you put up… I imagined Gale a little more good-looking. However, that’s a good Peeta-pic, if you’re Team Peeta. I also thought he was a little younger looking

I think it’s a tough choice. Definately Peeta in The Hunger Games. But after I read Catching Fire, I liked Gale a lot, too. But overall, I like Peeta more because he is very sweet and charming. (And his name is cooler) (:

I honestly like both of them but I, myself… would be melting over Gale. I like my boy to be a little bit of a rebel. And in MY head I see him all serious and fierce eyed. IDK

PEETA! I mean–some on–it’s *got* to be Peeta. The boy with the bread? The guy who was ready to die to save you, um, *twice*? Peeta. Hands down. But…don’t feel sorry for Gail. I’m pretty sure he and Madge had some secret “bonding time” while Katniss was in the Games the first time.

This is one of those Jacob vs. Edward type questions except its Peeta vs. Gale… In my personal opinion, I think Katniss should choose Peeta for the same reasons Bella shouldve chose Jacob(in the New Moon of course, but it all works out in the end). They fight for the girls that hold their hearts, and put their lives on the line over and over again. Not even mentioning the heartache they constantly bring themselves. They never give up showing their undying love while the girls flounce around and lead them on. Katniss means everything to Peeta… From the bread, to the first Games, to proposing, and even the ‘baby’ alligations. The moment Peeta found out it was mostly a game to Katniss he couldve turned on her and blown the whole thing up in her face, but, because of what she ment to him, he continued putting himself through misery to see her safe. That is love. That is everything. That is why Katniss should forget Gale and be with Peeta. But I think we all know, the happy ending never comes to the guy who deserves it the most. Us girls always fall for the ones who show barely, if any, love or sacfrice for us. And Gales fits that description perfectly. He was her best friend. Her confidant. Her hunting partner. But it stops there, doesnt it? He couldve volunteered going into the Games, to ensure her safety even though it would mean death to him. He doesnt, but Peeta does, the second time around… Keeping the same promise he made in the first place. When Gale becomes angry, he leaves Katniss. When Peeta becomes angry, he tries to work the issues out. Everything Peeta is revolves around Katniss. Gale is just there. But thats just my opinion.

I completely agree with Veronica. I would hate this trilogy to end like the Twilight series where they guy who has done and sacrificed everything for the girl he loves is cast aside. But then I also don’t want it to be a happily ever after, so I’m not sure who it should be. But I do know that I don’t think I would be a fan of the Hunger Games Trilogy any longer if Collins paired up Katniss and Gale at the end of book three, but I suppose that will be depend on how Collins weaves the story.

Personally, I think, yes Peeta is great for Katniss. But I also think that we really haven’t had a chance to see much of Gale. If I were him, I’d be VERY upset having to watch Katniss fall in love with Peeta (because we all know she is even if she doesn’t) and then she comes back and expects things to be the same with him. I feel bad for the poor guy! So I’m team Gale. Plus, I like that whole rebel thing too. -wink-

team PEETA!!! uhm…i really think that peeta’s the right one for katniss because even though katniss told him that what she did was a part of the games, he still volunteered to go in the arena with katniss to make her safe. and he still wanted to be friends with katniss. but……i think there’s a possibility that katniss is in love with peeta too. just my opinion.

I think gale should be chosen. I know Peeta said ‘he loved her’ and all that, but gale was with Katniss the whole time, as her hunting partner, her everlasting friend. Then when he said he loved her, she should have said she loved him back. peeta only ADMITTED he loved Katniss on the games to get attention, and he would not have said anything otherwisE. Being a young writer myself, i see she had to make the story longer, but I don’t get why she didn’t make Katniss choose gale until he was whipped.

the picture on the top though… I always imagined gale to look like the guy on the left, and peeta to be burlier… fatter, in a way. I don’t know why, but it’s true.

Can anyone tell me who those guys are? i think they can actually play the roles of Peeta and Gale (esp. if they’re actors already)

mmm..tough question here but i have to go for Peeta although my first choice was Gale.

Gale being Katniss Everdeen’s only best friend and also the only person who really knows Katniss.

Peeta on the other hand has proved his worth by willing to save Katniss-not once but twice-and while everyone was busy protecting their lives he was trying to make sure that Katniss will survive the game.

But i think we’ll find that out after reading the third book.
I wish Suzanne would give us more informations about the different personalities of Gale and Peeta, after all it is unfair on Gale’s side right? Cuz we don’t know him that much.

althought peeta loves her and they have a bond and he looks out for katniss it will always come back to the fact she is really in love with gale and after reading catching fire gale has a love intrest with katniss as well and they would just be perfect together.

1. i hate that this book is being compared to twilight because… well twilight is just an embarassment to all books and fails where as this book is amazing and is almost better than harry potter… and peeta is way better even when he is all delusional he still finds a way back to Katniss wayyy better then grumpy gale!

2.i agree with haymitchTHEOLDONE old people are cool and haymitch is pretty awesome!!! it jsut is very unfortunate that he turned to alcohol to deal with his isses

3. and i like the two actors on the top of this page for peeta and gale… but peeta should just gain a little weight but other than that both of those people up there are pretty much perfect!

The dude up top as gale is harry treadway. I looked him up. To be gale in the movie, he’s gonna need A LOT of makeup.

I Think Peeta is the Choice Because 1.He Cares a whole lot more about Katniss than Gale But He seems to have “competition”.2.is that In the “competition” He is trying way harder to Get Katniss than Gale p.s It seems weird that Gale in book two admits he had other girlfriends before katniss.The Some Reasons why she should pick Gale 1. They basically they Know eachother a whole lot. 2.Near the 1st book or second book she wants to be his love. and thirdly in two she is basically his GF since She kisses him in thirteen alot and she gets walked home by Gale. But the thing that is even about it is that Katniss is torn between them because they are almost fighting to marry her but I know who she chooses since Ive already Read Mockingjay but thats all im going to say and i cant wait for the MOVIE!.
