I don’t know, but I wish I did! I hope he isn’t dead, I love Peeta. I think that the capital has him and Johanna and they’re trying to torture them for answers about what happened in the Games. Maybe they are using Peeta to get to Katniss. I hope he’s still alive..

i suppose they’re going to rescue him. and I bet collins will use this time to further develop Gale’s character. but I doubt Peeta’s dead. It’ll make Katniss figure out which one she loves. P.S. it BETTER be Peeta.

I think Katniss will end up going to save Peeta but Gale will come with her simply because he loves her. I think Gale is so absorbed in Katniss and the rebellion that he wouldn’t really notice Madge. I can see them together but that doesn’t nessisarly mean that I’d like them together. It seems totally off for a Collins book for me. Plus, being a Gale shipper, I must root for the relationship between Gale and Katniss. Peeta can live, but he’ll have to be one of those tragic, lonely artists who had an epic romance that slipped between his fingers. Maybe he’ll be potentially the new face of leadership. Who knows? The nation is looking to Katniss but she’d never take that role up.

I totally agree with Mandi and YAY PEETA. I really think that she’s gonna realize who she loves and I also hope it’s Peeta. I really, really wish he was still alive. If he’s dead, then they’re just gonna have to bury me in his same grave. They are NOT burrying him without me down there. I refuse to live without Peeta. He can’t die! Sorry for getting emotional but I’m a little obsessed with Peeta. TEAM PEETA!

Honestly, I think dear Peeta will die. I love him. But the chances are looking bad and the Capitol is EVIL!

Yeah, I agree with Katniss Everdeen. I am starting to really think Peeta is going to be killed by the capitol. President Snow is evil and will want him dead. I think that happy endings are too much of a cliche for this series.

I don’t think Peeta will die he is one of the main characters and he is part of the book itself. Gale on the other hand is not a main charcter. He can die…but I hp e they both live. GO TEAM PEETA!!!

I don’t think Peeta will die. That seems way too easy for Collins. If he dies there will no longer be the Gale and Peeta conflict. Snow will use Peeta as a pawn to lure Katniss in so he can kill her and there for dash the hopes of the rebels.

I really hope Peeta lives. I love Peeta, he is so kind and understanding and, in my mind, HOT! But Gale seems too moody and I just don’t like him as much. But I would hate for either of them to die, because that’s just mean.

Peeta is gonna live. Cause most people don’t usually kill off main characters…Usually.

i think that the capitol as, like Haymitch said, put him under questoning for knowledge in the catastrophy that went on in the games. and when he said he didnt know they tortured him, so like the 3rd book will like be about how Katniss has to stay in hiding from the Capitol while trying to save peeta. but i saw something that Suzanne Collins said that Katniss like wants to know where she is…… it was an interview and someone asked if the could have a map of Panhem and she said no cuz not even KAtniss knows what PAnhem looks like and that in the 3rd one she relizes that she doesnt and needs to…. i know kinda confuzzling but there u go!!

i think there might b a possibility that Peeta might actually die, maybe not in the Capitol itself, but maybe somewhere else…it could even be Gale…but he doesn’t seem like that type of caracter, he’ll get injured & injured but still survives, one thing i’m really hoping for though is that Katniss gets 2 kill president Snow herself.

Hmmmm…. I don’t really think Peeta will die, but, he might. I agree that he will probably be tortured for information he doesn’t have. I also think that Katniss will go looking for him. This would be a great time to see what Gale REALLY feels about Katniss….. Go Gale! Don’t get me wrong, I love Peeta too, but I wanna see some competition between the two! So far is just been Gale PEETA PEETA PEETA PEETA Gale PEETA PEETA PEETA PEETA PEETA PEETA PEETA Gale. You get the point.

Although I want it to be a happy ending, I do want it to be somewhat believable, and in uprisings there are casualties. First, I agree with everyone so far. But I’d like to add something into the conversation. Peeta, is so absolutely smooth with his ability to say just the right thing, even under difficult moments, so I’m curious to see what Collins will make of this unique quality of Peeta. As for Gale, I would think that Collins would have developed his character by now, since there is only one book left. Why wait till the last book? If anything, I’d like to see Gale with Madge. Why, I don’t know, but that is what I’d like to see.

Knowing the ways of the capitol i think they’ll let him live-for a while. Long enough for Katniss to rescue him.
