So, what if Peeta and Katniss never teamed up during the games; staying somewhat enemies? What do you think would of happened? Given their run in with each other as kids.
Hmm…I don’t really know. I haven’t thought much about it. I still think Haymitch would have somehow talked to them if they put up the fight in the beginning. If they didn’t, then I think they still would have talked to each other to at least exchange tips for staying alive. If not, then I duobt either one of them would have come back alive. They help each other greatly in different areas.
If Cladius T. had not announced that more than one person for the same disrict could win. Katniss would have still have been the empty despondant shell she was when rue died. If that rule change wasn’t made Katniss would have let Peeta die on his on, remember if he lived she had to die.
i think that she would avoid him as much as possible also she has no idea how he feels about her so she would just think that one of them was going to have to die and not give it any more thought: except maybe that he kinda saved her life with the bread i just love how it happened in the book
@ meghan… ya thats kinda what i was thinking…but you’re right.. iloved how it happened too;)
I think Katniss would have won… well i KNOW Katniss would have won. she wouldnt be totaly heart broken like Peeta would have been she would probly just feel guilty that she still owed him.
Katniss probably would have let Peeta die, but somehow, I don’t think that that would be a fave for the readers. Katniss also probably would’ve felt really guilty, and nothing would have gotten in the way with her and Gale. Thank you, Suzanne Collins for pairing them up as teammates, and not letting Peeta die! I probably would have stopped reading the series. (Actually, that’s a lie. I still would’ve wanted to find out what ended up happening to Katniss.) The whole love triangle thing is what gives the story a bit more…spark. I just would’nt have been able to let go of Peeta if I were Katniss.
