You’ve got a point there KL. Anna Popplewell does have a sort of Katniss look in Narnia (Prince Caspian). OMG! I can’t wait to see the Peeta Mellarks!! [Wow. It kind of is a coincidence that Susan and Peter (William Moseley), lol, you get the point...] I have a feeling that William Moseley might be up there for a Peeta, Alex Pettyrer, and maybe…idk, can’t wait to see it though!

I go to school with Anna Sophia Robb and I personally don’t think she would be good in it. She is actually doing another movie right now and is playing a surfer girl. But anyway, she is really nice and I’m friends with her, but I just don’t see her as Katniss. She is REALLY small, and I don’t really think she has the inner toughness that Katniss is supposed to have.

I think Anna popplewell has a good shot. she did a good job in the narnia movies, and in a way she looks the part.

I think the Emily would be the best out of these 3. Though Anna Sophia seems much to small and young to be Katniss. The other two girls both hold something that is dangerous, like Katniss. They both would look good as the girl on fire.

Emily, out of these girls, would be my choice as Katniss.

Kaya Scoldelario, Elizabeth Gillies, and Lucy Hale would be my best three choices for Katniss although none of them have the dark skin
but that can be fixed with some make-up and whatnot…

I don’t think the three choices given up are right because Anna Popplewell doesn’t do it for me and Anna Sophia Robb looks almost evil in that picture
But i have seen other pics of her and she looks too young
Emily Browning i think just doesn’t have that sharpness that i always imagined Katniss to have..

AnnaSophia Robb is great as well as the other Anna but they’re too recognizable. The last thing this movie needs is a famous actress who will steal any limelight(sorry no offense).Emily and Emily alone was for some reason the only person I could imagine as Katniss.I would LOVE that

Emily Browning is the sensible soultion-anyone else is either too well known or a complete unkown. Emily at least has experience as a talented actress yet she wont steal any limelight from other actors. I like the others and all but i would just pull my hair out in excitement if Emily was picked.

I think Elizabeth Gillies would make a perfect Katniss. Her eyes are gray; shes 17, about the same age as Katniss; and most important, she has this fierce look which i think Katniss should have. Plus she can act and sing. S small problem is shes really pale, but that can be fixed with a little bit of tanning.

Hannah Marks is THE perfect Katniss. No joke. She’s 17, with Olive skin, grey eyes that look brown and a brunette. She’s also an unknown and a great actress!

Emily browning is a fabulous actress and is not particularly famous, so i believe that she would be able to portray Katniss exceedingly well. Furthermore, I do not believe that very famous actors should be cast in this particular movie, as it will not feel realistic or come to life, instead it will seem like an ordinary hollywood film.
Katniss and other main characters NEED to be unknown actors, as one will be able to say, yes that girl is Katniss, instead of referring to her as the actress who (e.g) played effie in Skins. The actors chosen will make or break the film, due to this the cast needs to be taken seriously and chosen with care.

I think someone new should play the role so we look on the screen and see Katniss, not Susan or Bella or anyone from any famous roles.

Uh, no. I don’t think any of these people should be Katniss. If I had to choose one, it’d be Emily. I really do think the actress should be unknown though so we can have a “Katniss” and not just “So-and-so who played Katniss”. Plus REAL EMOTION is needed, especially for someone as complex as Katniss. A character like Katniss takes guts, raw emotion, an edge, and someone who can play weary, desperate, resentful, compassionate and conflicted all at once. That’s Katniss. These people are not.

I was actually really happy that Jennifer Lawrence was picked.  She is naturally gorgeous, tough, epic, talented and soooo humble.  She’s the perfect Katniss.
