Overall I think the Hunger Games was better. However, I really loved the second half of CF which made up for the slower parts in CF. The middle book always kind of lags. Its a means to an end mostly. I really loved the intorduction of exciting characters in Catching Fire and the tension that had been building up till the end. I give HG props for consitency in its excitement, but CF has an edge for twists and characters.

Personally, I liked them both. But I have to admit that in Catching Fire, the parts with Katniss and Peeta were amazingly done. I would’ve liked to get to know Gale a bit better though. A lot of The Hunger Games was devoted to Peeta (not that I mind, *wink wink*).

i liked the hunger games more. there was more suspense. and the games lasted longer. the Games were my favourite part

its hard to say cuz CF takes a while to get into they games but the games in CF are better than the games in HG! i dont know! :s

I definately LOVED both books, I just loved Hunger Games better. There are parts that were awesome in Catching Fire though. Like I said, they are both great books.

I liked the hunger games better. As always in the middle book of a trilogy, it lags and isn’t as amazing as the first and upcoming last. It’s just so the last and final book is as amazing as all the others put together. Hunger games was more epic, overall
