When Peeta found out that the way Katniss was acting was a lie and that she didn’t love him…..so sad!

Mine was when Rue died.

I agree. When Rue died, you might as well have cut out my heart.

So far I have only cry when Rue died.. But I got tears in my eyes when Cecelia (?) had to left her children

Two things. When Peeta found out Katniss didn’t really love him, and of course when Rue died- the suddenness of it, Katniss singing, and the flowers: it was so touching. Most books have those tear-jerking moments.

Hmm, there are so many things that made me really sad thoughout the two books. The first I think was probably Rue dying. And then Peeta finding out she was faking the love. And then probably when Cinna was taken away. And then probably when Peeta was taken by the Capitol. Geez, there are just so many things!

I agree with everyone else, but I also thought it was sad when Peeta got electrocuted by the force field. I felt bad 4 Peeta of coarse but also Katniss there because it was her goal for Peeta 2 win and she felt she failed at that moment, plus she was truly wrecked b4 Finnick saved Peeta

I have 2: After Katniss woke up after the 75th Hunger Games and she was going around with the syringe to find Peeta and kill him. And also after Peeta’s interview when he told Caesar Katniss was pregnant and Katniss looked over at Peeta and he was crying, I don’t know why, I just thought that was really sad.

i really think that there were many sad moments but i have to agree with everone because those were all really sad moments.

mine is 100% when Rue died!

Hmm so many to choose from… when Peeta goes to Katniss’s house the day after Gale’s back was whipped and finds Katniss holding hands with Gale while asleep. The sadness he felt made me pretty depressed . Also,before they start making out, when Peeta is basically telling Katniss he’ll give up everything for her so she can live and be happy and then gives her the locket…and how he says no one really needs him awww it broke my heart. Oh and Cinna being attacked was also pretty brutal.

Rue’s death nearly made me cry.

When Gale was being whipped and when Gale told Katniss about District 12 at the end of Catching Fire. I cried at both parts, even though I was sitting in my geometry class when I finished the book. I had my head buried in the book to hide my tears.

EVERYTHING you all said, but for me, one of the most heart wrenching parts is at the very beginning of book 1. When Peeta states : “My mother said, ‘This year District 12 may have a victor. She’s a survivor that one.’ SHE’S a survivor.” It really shows that even in the districts the Hunger Games is entirely accepted.

whelp…i cried when rue died…and whenever someone spoke of that part and i also cried when katniss told peeta she was faking…… when cinna was beaten up….when president snow read the card i cried alot because i knew that katniss and peeta couldnt be together……sad series…just sad

I well I cried when Rue died, but I also did when Peeta and Katniss want to Distict 12 and faced Rue and Thash’s families and she gave them food. I thought that was so nice but still sad because I can’t imagine what if would have been like to stare at the people who had a hand in killing my child/sibling.

It made me sad when Peeta found out that Katniss was just acting & didn’t truely love him as he did her, because we could all see how much Peeta really did love her from the very beginning. Also the part where Katniss had to watch Cinna being beaten, that just tore my heart out. I hated the Capitol 100 times more after that x)

Rue’s death. Fo sho. I actually did cry the first two times i read the Hunger Games. It’s like Katniss said you know? What happened to Rue is what makes the hunger games so wrong.

Really the whole book series is pretty much sad.
Ecspecially rues death. In HG.
In CF i think it’s sad when after gale was whipped and katniss is holding his hand on the table and peeta sees it. He was like so heartbroke.:’(
