I think its better not to have an expectation but I can tell you what I DON’T WANT. I don’t want The Hunger Games Movie to be like the twilight movies…. All of the twilight movies are sooooo cheesy and corny. I don’t want stupid lines and I want a good producer. I’m happy that Suzanne Collins has written the origial script. I want to make sure that its not a stupid movie. Don’t get me wrong here, I love watching the twilight movies… but to be honest they are not very well produced and directed. And the screenwriter for the first movie did a horrible job. Spidermonkey? Really? I almost puked when I heard those words the first time.

All I really want out of this movie is for it to be accurate. I hate it when I know a book by heart and they go and mess around with it and change soo much about it in a movie. Like Kaleigh said I’m also very pleased and enthusiastic that Suzanne Collins has written the script. It makes me upset when author’s just trust that the writers will make the script close enough to the book. If I was an author I would want the movie for my book to be 99% close to my book and how I picture it since I know that they wouldn’t be able to get it 100%. I also believe that they should either have unknown cast members or actor’s who haven’t had many or no major roles or leads. That way we can’t compare their other work to how they will be in the movie. I am expecting and hoping for the cast to be very close to the characters naturally. To be honest I really don’t want someone who they have to tweak around with so that they look close enough to be the characters, I want them to naturally look like the chara

(whoops my computer accidentally sent my post b4 I was finished) characters they are suppose to play. Whenever producers and directors hire actor’s and actresses that don’t look like they characters and we find out, I know that I get mad and am like ‘what the heck?’ and it already makes me wonder how the rest of the movie will turn out if they can’t even get the cast right. I also hope they don’t mash scenes from the books together like in the twilight movies and that they don’t cut out important scenes and quotes. I loved the book all in all so I don’t want much cut at all, just maybe shorten the amount of time that Katniss is alone in that tree. Most of all, I want the movie to leave me on the edge of my seat and wanting more just like the books did. I know I won’t get the same rush as when I read the books, but I want a rush similar to it. Well now I’m finally done typing lol :]

My favorite scene in The Hunger Games was the feast at the Cornucopia. I admired Foxface’s plan and it was interesting to see the Careers up-close.
Something I’d like to be cut out…hmm…the Hunger Games is so awesome I think every part of it deserves a place in the movie. But we can’t have a six-hour movie, so I think that the whole part with the prep team should be omitted.

I agree with KatnissPeetarockmysocks, they should cast unknown actors for the big parts. Kaleigh; the spider monkey line was not the screenwriter’s decision, it was the actor’s decision. I’m planning on keeping my expectations low so I’m not dissapointed! :)

  • SPARK

i’d rather it have full ,captivating plot and short, than cover everything VERY shortly like in eclipse.

  • Maddy

I agree with spark. We don’t need a ton of little choppy scenes like in Eclipse. As long as the essence of the story is there, we don’t need to see EVERYTHING.

The thing that I basically want in these movies is the movie sticking to the book. It’s always an enormous disappointment when the movies take the book and completely change it. For example: Twilight and Percy Jackson -The Lightning Thief. Cheesy examples, I know, but they prove my point. If I love a book so much that I wont let it out of my sight, the movie better be freaking like the book. None of the lame lines. Or the awful portraying of the characters. No. Keep to the story line. Amaze us.

  • Kelsss

I dont want anyone from Twilight in this movie. Like any of the actors.

  • Anna

I just don’t want them to ruin the integrity of the books. That’s all I ask.

  • kckat

totally agree with all of you! thank god collins has exerience in screenwriting so that she was able to write the movie script. or at least the original draft. i like the idea of having unknowns playing the tributes but i think they should have maybe one or two known actors play the older roles such as haymitch, effie, president snow, etc. either way, i have a lot of faith in collins on helping to make the movie just as amazing as the book!

I am looking forward to see the scene where Katniss takes Prim’s place in the Hunger Games. What I am not looking forward to is if there are gonna be cheesy actors and actress in the movie like the ones in the Twilight saga. Sorry Team Edward and Jacob but I don’t think that they would do a great job at being Peeta or Gale. No personality match. Anyway, I am also looking forward to the scene where Peeta and Katniss realize that they have to fake being in love and I hope the producer remembers that each night during the Hunger Games, the faces of the victims(sorry for the spelling) who had died that day are shown in the sky. If they don’t I am gonna one mad Hunger Games fan

  • LovelyBonesRocks

I hope they are faithful to the books and that they cast good actors. I would much rather have good acting than a bunch of pretty faces who can’t act to save their lives.
