I am sooooooooo sorry that I didn’t out a post last week!!!
This weeks story is called The Girl who Turned to Ice by mHardy
–“Bottom line is, until that night it was announced to Panem, the idea had never crossed my mind that you and Peeta would be made to reenter the arena. Oh, I’d considered a multitude of other ways in which the Capitol would get what they wanted- our deaths of course- but never did I realize the extent to which Snow would go to get rid of you.” He gives me a grin devoid of any detectable happiness or good humor. “Who knew such a little girl could cause him such a big problem.”– Chapter 4

This week I chose the story the Last Candle In The Dark by Astoria Potter
This a story about Annie while she remembers her times with Finnick
–He smiled before he sat up, staring down at her. She really was beautiful, he thought. Those sea green eyes that were often compared to his, the beautiful hair that was a variety of browns, the way that she smiled at him so that his heart ached or felt like it was expanding – everything about her was just so alive. So vibrant. So full of life. So very Annie. Not that he’d ever tell her these things. Once, he’d started to, and she’d thought that he was joking. It was a sting to him, and he hadn’t brought it up ever since. It wasn’t her fault she couldn’t take him seriously, none but his own. He was the one who constantly flirted in the hallways with admirers and let women at the photoshoots prattle on about how amazing he was before they tried to tempt him. So he could understand how his expression of affection for her would be read on her part as a joke.–

This week I choose the story Come to Me by Cirae
This story is a little collection of Mockingjay scenes from Peeta’s POV.
—————-
Suffocating. Her lips are like snake bites, coursing venom through me. The poison rushes down my chest, my abdomen, my legs. Bread, grey eyes, trains, soft skin, fire. Tick each one off and come back. Stay here. I don’t need to fight as hard this time because something about her taste extinguishes the rage inside of me. I realize it’s not she who is the snake, but rather she is the antidote, and it is instantaneous and draining. I collapse beneath her kiss, and as she pulls away I hook onto her eyes to keep from falling.
“Stay with me,” she pleads.
I’m panting; I can’t breathe. But then she’s pulling me out because she wants me. She’s asking for me. It’s all I can do not to scream.
“Always,” I manage. Always, always, always, always.

This week I choose the story The 2nd Quarter Quell by katniss and peeta forever
This story is the 50th Hunger Games from Haymitch’s point of view.
“As the ever so irritatingly happy escourt pulls out the first male tribute’s name i feel a burst of angsiety. It could by my name. She steps up and gives me the worst possible news by announcing my name, Haymitch Abernathy.
I walk up wearing a bored expression. No need to let them see how I really feel. I tune out the rest of the ceremony even missing the other male tribute’s name. It doesnt matter anyway he’ll die soon anyway as will the rest of us.
I shake hands with my fellow tributes. Then we are ushered into the justice building to say our final goodbyes.
I sit down on the plush velvet couch and wait for my first visitor. To no suprise it’s my father. I see him walk in with a straight face and sit down across from me. I look him in the eyes and watch the man who raised me without a wife for help. We look alike. The same grey eyes and olive skin. Not very handsome but not ugly either. We have a kind of tuff gruffy look, but that works well with our attitudes.
He looks back into my eyes and says, “Boy, I knew it was gonna be you this year. I had a gut feeling. Now I know I’m not the best dad but at least I didn’t just leave you to starve. Use that big head of yours and get back home, alright? I’m gonna be mighty mad if you don’t come home.”
As I listen to my fathers words I’m comforted by them. It’s nice to know he cares. His words also give me hope. I still have a chance. I’m not completely out of these games and I’ve got the smarts to have a good chance.
As the time runs down I say my goodbyes to my father. He give me a quick, strong hug that I return instantly.
Soon after I’m being shuffled out the door and into the train destined to take me to the Capitol. The train takes off and I sit down with the entire party at the table and Archarde Barke gives us the most genious advice I think I’ve ever heard in my entire life. “I’ve got two words for you guys. Stay alive.” ” -Chapter 1
