I picked this song because I couldn’t help but find some lyrics fitting.  This song is about growing up and this is something Katniss is still doing.  Even if she is way ahead in most aspects; she still struggles with her heart.

The line “Too scared to own up to one little lie” = The fact that she is just Katniss. She never asked to be the symbol of the rebellion; she never wanted to be the “Mockingjay”.

And then the line “You know who you are”= At first, that she is just the girl from the Seam.  But over time that she is the “Mockingjay”.

You can interpret the rest of the song to reflect her feelings for Peeta or Gale.

I thought this was perfect! I don’t like Simple Plan, but I think the song fits perfectly!

I’ve noticed that a lot of visitors don’t give suggestions for Music Monday’s. So I go along and post a song that I think fits The Hunger Games/Catching Fire. And I know a lot want unknown songs or just simply songs that want to be featured on the site every week. If you want a song to be featured on the site, just leave a comment and I’ll give it a listen and if it doesn’t appear right away, just wait for the following week.
