Wonder why they have a district 12 tribute shirt..it was appropriate before catching fire but it’s been blown up now…. guess they didn’t read the book before designing. lol. I love the mockingjay pin shirt though!!

Not to be rude, but… let’s be realistic here, avox. Do you really think it is in character for them to fall in love- especially when Prim is only thirteen? Besides, if you haven’t noticed, by the ending of CF Katniss herself is in love with Peeta, whether she realizes it or not, it’s written right in between the lines.
But with due respect- I can see where you’re coming from
As for the question, I believe above people have already answered that. Katniss, after all, volunteered for Prim. It’s only logical for them to target her as one of Katniss’ weaknesses. Prim is also the first voice that the Jabberjays ‘mimmick’.
But then… will they get the chance? Isn’t Prim in District 13?

Working off of district 12′s idea, what if Prim and Peeta somehow meet up while imprisoned and devise an escape plan, and, going out on a limb here, end up falling in love, I mean, there’s only four years difference, that way Katniss ends up with Gale, who, my opinion here, I think she would rather be with, and Peeta doesn’t commit suicide or something out of the pain

Knowing Suzanne Collin’s style, she’ll be used against Katniss. What if she’s kidnapped in the beginning? That could add fast drama.

I think that she will be used against her. i think that katniss would die before letting prim ever be in the thick of it. Of course, she will play a bigger part just because of circumstances. But the capitol would use her voice, her face, etc. etc. and even try to capture her just because katniss has said that she would do ANYTHING for Prim. Anything including giving up the rebellion. Turning on her loved ones. Letting Peeta die. They will want to capture Prim.

I agree with Erin, she defiantly will have a bigger role, now that she will probably be with her family more often and she really IS growing up. The capitol will TRY to use her because of the tension between to two sisters. And because they’re THAT cruel. (My opinion.)
